KidsCorner Preschool FAQ's

What curriculum is used?

•  Kids Corner Preschool uses the evidence based curriculum called Learning Without Tears
  • Learning Without Tears is an educational program designed to help young children develop foundational skills in writing, reading, and math in a fun, engaging, and stress free way. The program emphasizes a hands-on, multisensory approach to learning that makes use of tools, games, and activities that are meant to be both enjoyable and effective.

Does my child have to be potty trained?

• Yes, all children need to be potty trained with the exception of the Funday class for 2 1/2 - 3 year olds

Is lunch provided for all day classes? Are snacks provided?

• No, your child should bring a packed lunch to class
• Snacks are provided in all classes

What if I have to cancel before the school year is over?

• A 30-day written notice must be given in the event that a participant chooses to cancel from the program prior to the end of the school year. In the case of early termination from the program, refunds will not be issued for pre-paid month's tuition.

What is your sickness policy?

• If a student shows any of the following symptoms, they won't be allowed to attend class for 48 hours from when they symptoms start
  • Fever of 100 degrees or higher
  • Congestion or nasal discharge
  • Cough
  • Chills
  • Shortness of breath
  • Headache
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat or loss of taste or smell
  • Undiagnosed rash
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loose stools
• If a child arrives at their class with any of the above symptoms staff has the right to refuse entrance to class. Should a child become ill during the class, the parent or responsible party will be called to pick the sick child up from class.

What is the outdoor weather policy?

• If the air temperature reaches 0 degrees and/or wind chills hit -10 degrees, we will not go outside

How does billing work?

• We have an automatic billing system
  • Full-day classes are billed weekly
  • Half-day classes are billed on the 1st of each month
• A billing contract is sent out to parents and guardians in mid-July
  • Parents and guardians are asked to complete the billing contract by mid-August
  • On the billing contract you will add the last four digits of the credit card you use for billing
    • The credit card on your CivicRec account and billing contract must match. If you need to change your credit card, please update us immediately. This will affect your payments moving forward.
