AARP

AARP Smart Driver

Taught by AARP trained instructors, Smart Driver teaches safe driving techniques to help keep you and your loved ones safe on the road. Insurance discounts for those 55+. A four-hour course is required every three years. The eight-hour course is no longer required.

Enjoy a relaxing river cruise on the scenic St. Croix River Cruise with time to wander charming downtown Stillwater. You'll have an hour to explore shops before boarding the boat. Learners Tournament Workshop

Have you always wanted to play in a Mah Jongg tournament but not sure you're ready? This beginner-friendly event, led by Tarri Lavine, offers a relaxed way to learn tournament play. Play in a practice-style tournament, review rules, scoring, and strategies. Questions are welcome during play so you learn how tournaments differ from NMJL play. The session includes two rounds of three games with certificates and door prizes. Bring your 2026 NMJL card.

Proceeds benefit the local dementia support groups on behalf of TC Metro & Suburban Mah Jongg Club.

May the Fourth Puzzle Competition

The Force is strong with puzzlers this May 4th! As Yoda says, "skills tested, they will be". Be a Jedi Master of strategy using The Force to complete a 500-piece puzzle. Can you complete your mission faster than Solo's Kessel Run? Or will the dark side of the clock claim victory?

  • Teams of up to four Rebels (or Imperials, if that's your thing) compete to complete a 500-piece puzzle in the shortest amount of time
  • Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
  • Epic door prizes
  • Head start for those in costume or other attire from a galaxy far, far away
  • Teams can puzzle until 8:30 pm. In the end, it's about the journey, not the victory
