AARP Smart Driver

Taught by AARP trained instructors, Smart Driver teaches safe driving techniques to help keep you and your loved ones safe on the road. Insurance discounts for those 55+. A four-hour course is required every three years. The eight-hour course is no longer required.

Learn to Knit/Crochet

Connecting through art with the American Parkinson Disease Association

People with Parkinson’s and their caregiver are invited to express feelings, emotions, and strengthen fine motor skills through drawing and painting. Socializing is encouraged during the class. This program is facilitated by an Occupational Therapist or licensed Art instructor and made possibly by the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Live-taping of the Jason Show with Lunch and Shopping at the Asia Mall

Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the show, you’ll love the energy of a live taping. Buckle up for laughter, surprises, and that contagious Jason charm! Get an inside peek into how the magic happens, and leave with stories (and selfies) you’ll be talking about for years.

After the show, we’ll head to Eden Prairie’s Asian Mall, a large Asian marketplace featuring more than ten unique food and beverage vendors all under one roof. Lunch is on your own, giving you the opportunity to explore the many unique and delicious options available. Both cash and credit cards are accepted.

5th Annual Mah Jongg Tournament

Grab your 2026 National Mah Jongg League card and get ready for a day of fun and prizes. Tournament director Tarri Levine from the TC Metro and Suburban Mah Jongg Club will lead this 5th Annual Mah Jongg Tournament benefiting local dementia support programs.

Cash prizes for the top three accumulative scores
Tournament play is four, 60 minute rounds

Measure your fall risk and identify areas to strengthen with a free balance screening from OSI Physical Therapy. Balance screenings are held the first Tuesday of the month.

Climate Talk with Dr. Mark Seeley

As a faculty member in the U of M’s Dept of Soil, Water, and Climate Department from 1978 to 2018, Dr. Seeley participated in thousands of public speaking engagements, meetings, media interviews and person-to-person interactions where he shared his considerable knowledge of the critical relationship between climate and agricultural production.

50 Years Later - The 1976 Drought

The Drought of 1976 was the 2nd worst drought in Minnesota state history. It was especially devastating to the agricultural economy of the state. Mark will speak about the historical context for this storm, its consequences, and how it helped shape Minnesota agriculture to be more resilient.

The Storm That Sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald

On November 10, 1975, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sailed directly into the heart of one of the most powerful storms ever recorded on Lake Superior. A reconstruction of the historical storm that sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald shows that the ship had faced the storm's maximum power. This historic storm is still used as a case study in meteorology books. Learn about the chronology of this storm and its historical context.
