Shoreview Parks and Recreation provides a wide range of year-round activities, programs, and events for all ages, interests, and abilities. Our programs provide opportunities to learn life skills, stay fit and active, and to connect with the community.
Adult Programs
Serving adults of all ages, our adult program consists of special interest courses, CPR & First Aid, and services for active older adults such as AARP Driver Safety, Tax Aide, card clubs, trips, and special events.
Adult Sports
Sign up for one of our recreational adult leagues or instructional courses. We offer leagues for broomball, dodge ball, volleyball, basketball, football, and softball. If you are looking for instructional courses, sign up for our tennis or golf lessons.

Aquatics
Our swim lessons use a fun and imaginative approach to help students achieve swimming skills and water safety awareness. Our progressive lessons can take your child from their first experience in the water through the training required to be a lifeguard. Each level reinforces previously learned skills and introduces new skills.
Farmers' Market
The Shoreview Farmers Market runs Tuesday's, July 6 through October 19 from 3-7 p.m. at the Shoreview Community Center Lower parking lot. Applications are now available for the 2010 season. For more information contact Lesley Young 651-490-4734 or e-mail lyoung@shoreviewmn.gov
Kids Corner Preschool
Our preschool program offers children ages 2½ to 5 a variety of fun and educational activities designed to stimulate social and intellectual development. Our teachers have decades of experience and training and are committed to providing your child with a positive preschool experience and preparing him or her for Kindergarten.
Preschool Programs
Our programs for preschool aged children include dance, music, gym time and more! See Youth Sports, Tumbling, Ice Skating, Kids Corner Preschool, and Aquatics for additional programs for preschool aged youth.
Special Events
Shoreview Parks and Recreation offers a variety of community special events throughout the year. Our Farmer's Market and Concert Series are community favorites. Families always look forward to our Egg Hunt, Skate with Santa, and Halloween Hoopla.

Summer Discovery

Are you looking for a safe and fun place to send the kids during the summer? Look no further than Shoreview Parks and Recreation Summer Discovery Program! This 12 week summer child care program offers your child the opportunity to have a fun-filled, jam-packed summer while under the guidance of highly qualified staff. Each week will have many activities for your child, including a weekly field trip, swimming 3 days per week, games, crafts, and enrichment classes. Flexible scheduling available with the ability to register for 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
*Registration will begin Thursday, March 4, 2010, beginning at 5:00 A.M. when the Shoreview Community Center opens. Registration forms are available February 1. Register early as spots fill quickly! For more details please call Becky Sola at 651.490.4764 or email rsola@shoreviewmn.gov
Teens
Teens have the opportunity to participate in the Shoreview Teen Advisory Council (STAC), teen nights, and other teen specific programs. In addition to these programs, teens are welcome to sign up for fitness classes, swim lessons, tennis & golf lessons, and volunteer for special events.
Tumbling
Children will discover the sport of tumbling within a positive, educational atmosphere. Along with athletics, participants will learn self-discipline and have fun in a modern facility designed for safety and comfort.
Youth Programs
Our youth programs provide a variety of classes that will interest your child. Cooking, arts and crafts, drama, cheerleading, babysitting certification, and other fun seasonal activities.
Youth Sports
Our youth sports program consists of leagues, lessons, and after school sports classes. Our youth soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball leagues are coached by parent volunteers. Our after school sports classes are held at Turtle Lake and Island Lake Elementary Schools and are taught by Shoreview Parks and Recreation Staff. Experienced tennis and golf instructors teach our youth tennis and golf lessons.
